Payment: Once you have selected the desired property give us a call at 1-817-797-5153. When a reservation is made an invoice will be sent to you by email for your approval. We will call you for your credit card number for your reservation. Revservation are not confirmed until we have all information and you are sent a confirmation. All rentals are subject to local and State sales tax of 10.3% if less than 30 days.
Reservations until paid for are subject to change.
Methods Of Payment: We accept Credit cards, if you prefer we accept personal or company checks. If you are paying by Credit Card we do not bill your card a deposit fee but you are agreeing to allow us to use your card to pay for damages. If paying by check you can use your credit card to hold your reservation until we receive your check. Please read and understand the policies and adhere to the policies. This fee will apply only if you do not keep your reservation or do damage to the property.
Check In: You may check in any time after 3:00pm. Since we are expecting you we will text or email you a door key code to get in when you get here. We do live on the property so we are close by if you need anything. If you need an earlier check in let us know and we will see if that is possible. We have service cleaning scheduled so we have to know well in advance.
The map will show you how to get here and has our address as well as our phone number should you need to reach us.
Check Out: In order for us to prepare for the next guests to check in, we ask that you check out no later than 10:00 am. We will have someone on standby to start cleaning at 10:00 a.m. If you need a different check-out ask us well in advance and we may be able to make arrangements. Please remember we have scheduled cleaning for the next guests so if you have need for something different we must know in advance.
Security Damage fee: Captain’s Quarters and for The Studio’s are subject to being charged for the following:
Damage: Any damage to the premises, grounds or furnishings and any loss due to theft.
Cleaning: Please put any trash you have in the containers provided for disposal of trash at the top of the stairs. If you have made a major oven burn that requires a 2 hour clean you will be charged $50.00 extra. We understand that sometimes these things happen. But to grill our wonderful local salmon or oysters in the oven will cost an extra fee.
You will be charged for any cleaning we do which is considered to be in excess of normal cleaning. Our policies are very simple..just help us keep it clean for the next visitors and treat our property as you would your own home. If you see a problem let us know as soon as you can so we can get it corrected as soon as possible.
Use of Premises: Unauthorized occupants sleeping on the property will result in being charged extra. Day guests need to be cleared so we know who is on the property. We base our rates upon an agreed upon number of guests. If you find you have unexpected persons accompanying you on your island visit, please let us know in advance and we can help find them a place to stay. The property is for our paying guests only. If you plan a large picnic or party with outside guests using our property please clear with us first.
Anyone who is NOT a paying guest will NOT be permitted to stay over night with you. We are very strict about this policy. We ask that you respect our policy on this and thank you for not bringing overnight guests who will not be paying, to stay with you. The unit you are renting is set for a certain number of people. Please be aware that we have a set number allowed per unit and can not exceed that number by code.
We are a self-sufficient private vacation rental, there is no daily housekeeping. Additional linens can be provided upon request. There are no extra linens for more than the paying guests. We do not provide beach towels so if you plan on going to the beach please bring your own personal ones for your groups. Please do not take our bath towels to the beach or use them in yard to sunbath.
Pets: No animals are allowed on this private property. If you have an animal you just can not leave home without we suggest that our property is not a good place for your vacation. We are not handicap accessible ADA and do not allow service animals. If animals are found on the premises you will be charged an animal cleaning fee. This applies to animals of visitors as well. Animal care is available on the island. We are very strict on this so please do not ask. We love pets but some of our guests (including one of our cleaners have allergies) that do not allow them to enjoy properties where pets have been.
From the street level you come down a long flight of stairs. If you have problems with stairs this might not be the place for you. We are not handicapped accessible. We do not allow comfort, companion, service or pet animals. We are a pet free private vacation rental. We are not a handicap accessible property. We are not ADA. Please note you will be ask to take the pets or service animals off the property immediately
Refunds: We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. Prior to 30 days of arrival date, any changes to a reservation will be assessed a $75.00 administration fee. Cancellations are subject to one night’s lodging. Notice must be submitted in writing (fax, mail or e-mail) .
In the event that the lease must be cancelled by the leaseholder, leaseholder agrees to pay for one night’s lodging. Any cancellations made less than 14 days before your arrival date will forfeit lease money for dates we are unable to re-book. No refund for shortened stays unless we can re-lease. We will make every effort to re-lease the reserved property and you will be given credit back for the dates we can get things re-booked.
Smoking: Is not permitted indoors. Please feel free to smoke in “Smoking Permitted” at least 25 feet from all windows and doors.
Children: We love children, but our accommodations for children are limited. Please make arrangements with us in advance for children twelve and under. Children over 12 are welcome with close supervision. However, children must not be allowed outside without supervision due to the high-bank waterfront. All Children count as adults and are charged the adult rate.
Parking: Limited street parking is available. Friday Harbor Lights is located just two blocks from the ferry landing and town, close enough that you can leave your car on the mainland and walk on the ferry. We are located on Warbass Way which is a one way street. Please take notice that you do not come in the wrong way. Some GPS will try to get you to come up the street the wrong way.
Boat Dock: Available for your Kayaks to launch.
Provisions: We provide just about everything for basic housekeeping, pots and pans, plates etc.. We do no provide any food products other than coffee and tea. No phone service, most people have cell phones. We have wireless WiFi for your internet connection. Log on code posted in each unit. We are a private vacation rental and not a bed & breakfast so we do not provide any food. You will need to bring your own personal toiletries. We do furnish paper towels, toilet paper, bedding,towels (We do not provide beach towels and ask that you do not take our bath towels to use as beach towels, please bring your own if your are going to the beach). We are a self-sufficient private vacation rental, there is no daily housekeeping.
